Iona has written books and articles across a wide range of subjects, mostly in the areas of health, self-help, psychology, crafts and wildlife.

She has drawn experience from clinical and managerial experience within the NHS as well as medical and humanitarian charity work. She has also worked in the editing department of Middle East Economic Digest and as assistant editor of Medical Ethics Bulletin. She is familiar with sourcing images ready for magazine production.

Writing for the internet, she has developed skills in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and has a range of articles published on Suite 101 and Patterns Patch. Having worked for 14 months as editor of 12 categories of the Open Directory Project (DMOZ), an internet search directory, she has extensive experience of managing and co-ordinating the online presence of individuals and companies.
