Q. How do I know that my contact details will be kept solely for the purpose of penfriendship? A. Again, no problem. IPF has a Privacy Policy which you can rely on.
Q. Do I have to re-join every year in order to carry on writing to my penfriends? A. No - you need not re-join every year. However, many members choose to do so, as they want more penfriends.
Q. I'd like to receive the People & Places magazine and The Booklet with Writing tips. How do I get these? A. Just go to the membership form on this website, and you will see the order form that allows you to add this to your membership.
Q. I have enough penfriends and do not wish to have any more. What shall I do? A. Just let me know, and we'll make sure that your name is no longer distributed for the duration of your membership.
Q. I feel uncertain about what to write in my first letter to a penfriend. What can I do? A. Julie Delbridge has written a booklet about this. It gives you all you need to know. You can order it via the application form. Contact me if you have any specific questions.
Q. Why do I have to make cheques available to a person (representative) - not International PenFriends (IPF)? A.The reason for this is that we have Representatives in each country of the world, so members have a point of contact in their own country so that they don't have to communicate with the busy head office in Australia. Also, it enables members to pay their fees in their own currency, rather than in Australian dollars.
